This book cover is designed during December of 2018. The name of the book is 'The Devotion of Suspect X' by Higashino Keigo. This book is a detective story based on the genius mathematics teacher and women from the next door. Since the whole book is showing the steps of how the mathematics teacher hide the case for women with mathematical knowledge. The math was the main element that I was focusing while I am working on this work. I used the mathematical symbols that looks alike with the alphabet to create the title of the book. The giant 'x' on the cover is to create interesting negative space. The color palette is cooled down tone for grey and red to evoke the sense of sensitivity and mysterious emotion.
